Automatic notification of PIN numbers

    Has anyone set up correspondence to notify new volunteers of their PIN number?  What I would like to do is have an email that gives the PIN number Volgistics assigns and include the assignment and schedule as a confirmation once the volunteer has completed the process - background check, drug screen, TB, orientation process, etc.

    This would be especially handy for volunteers who start at times outside normal office hours.

    My notification reads as follows:

    Congratulations on your decision to volunteer for Saint Joseph Health System!  We are glad to have aboard!

    This email also serves as confirmation that we have your badge at the Saint Joseph Hospital Volunteer Office.  Please pick up your badge prior to your first day of volunteering.  Our office is open from 8AM - 4:30PM Monday thru Friday barring any unusal circumstances.  We do recommend that you call beforehand to be sure someone will be here.  Our phone number is 313-1290.

    As a Saint Joseph volunteer, you now have access to your Volunteer Information Center. Your user name and password are below:

    (Volgistics inserts log in information here)

    This system will allow you to a) self schedule your service times, b) change your personal information such as address, phone number or email, c) view your service records, d) record your hours if you are night or weekend volunteer, and e) remove yourself from the service calendar for days you cannot come.

    To access your Volunteer Information Center, please go to our website at http://www.saintjosephvolunteers.org.  Once there, click on My Volunteer Information.Instructions are provided on each tab.

    Thanks Jamine for sharing...since we aren't using VICNET, I will see what modifications I can make and probably use much of your letter as my own--I know what you say about doing such....
