Do you have clowns visit at your hospital?  If you do, how did you do the badges....is the person's actual picture and name on the badge or the clown's picture and name?

We do have a clown ministry that's associated with a local church, and some of their group members visit at the hospital. The ID badge has the actual person's name & photo, not the clown's name & photo.

Our clowns go through the same orientation that all volunteers attend. They are issued two badges, one with their real name and picture and the other with their clown picture and name. They must wear both so staff can identify them as a volunteer at all times.

We do have clowns and they have two badges, one with their real name and VOLUNTEER under that, and one with their Clown name and clown photo.  They wear the badges on one clip, so if it flips over, they are still identified.  Hope this helps.

When in clown costume/make up--wear a clown ID badge with clown name.  Wear human ID badge behind it.  Just in case someone is uncomfortable with the clown, a human identification is immediately available.

When in street clothes/volunteer uniform--wear human ID badge with human name/photo.
