Some time ago we had volunteers doing "safety rounds" on patients. They had a checklist of things to look for and would alert the Nurse Manager if something was not in place. That ended a few years ago, so we have no involvement in that now. I'm not sure why, but the Safety officer indicated that volunteers were no longer needed in that role and they were going to do something different.
