Would someone be able to share how their Navigators/Way finders are stationed at the main entrances of their hospitals? Whether behind the information desk or a separate station. Photos would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you all so much!

We have a podium that we set out in the lobby in front of the doors.

Our volunteers sit in a chair right beside the Guest Services desk.  After they escort someone that come back to their "chair" so staff can see them.

Our volunteers are stationed at the information desk, alongside the paid-staff guest ambassador.

Our volunteers are called  "Information Desk" volunteers, they are located in the "Main Entrance"  behind the desk.   We have two people at the desk, one can check for room numbers or appointments and the other is available to assist a guest who might need a wheelchair transport or an escort to there destination.  Our desk is manned from 8am - 8pm weekdays and 9am - 8pm on weekends.

    Sorry, I couldn't attached a picture.

Mine is the same as Reina's. Ours are Information Desk volunteers and most of the time we have 2 or 3 stationed there at the same time. I have a chair outside of the Information Desk, with the intention that it be staffed with a "runner," but I can't keep that position filled. Everyone gravitates to behind the desk.

Those of you who have "chairs" as stations, does it look out of place when no one is stationed there? Or do you have signage, etc. Thanks for all replies!

Ours are called "PathFinders" .  The PathFinder (volunteer) is located at the Information Desk.  The Information Desk is manned by one paid staff (registration) and one volunteer that answers the patient calls, transfers calls and answers questions. The PathFinder stands, up and ready to greet and assist with a wheelchair or walk side by side visitor or patient to get them safely and with ease where person is scheduled/or wanting to go. We do have a chair for the PathFinder.  The chair is pushed neatly under the desk when no in use.  At times the PathFinders sits, but that is limited.  We tried not to have a chair, but with the volunteer working 4 hour shifts at a time, it became difficult with no rest period for tired legs.

We roll our podium into a little storage closet next to the information desk with it is not in us.
