Hi, I see that the last time this question was raised was back in 2011, so I am sure many of you have gone to online training options since that time. If so, can you share with me what process you are using and how you receive documentation that training is current?

    Thanks so much,

    Sharon Swanson

    Hi Sharon,

Our online training is in the same system as our employee trainings (myTraining). Volunteers are required to print their certificates of completion and bring them into the volunteer office. Previously, our orientation was hosted on our website and was not secure. That orientation also had a certificate of completion volunteers brought into the office. Feel free to reach out if you have additional questions.

    Our entire orientation is online.

Each form is emailed to me when it is completed.  I then save it to the volunteer's electronic file and manually check it off in Volgisitics.

We offer both annual training and our initial orientation online as an option.  You can access our annual training by going to our website (stelizabeth.com/volunteers) and clicking on Current Volunteers (or this link)  http://www.stelizabeth.com/about/volunteer-services/current-volunteers     then scroll down and you will see "Required Annual Training" and "click here".  We email prospective / new volunteers the link for initial orientation - after they have completed the online application.

    Hope this helps.

We do ours through HealthStream as we do our employees. For all volunteers who have been with us for twelve months (FY), we add update them in the system, and then annually they receive notifications. We have a general education they must complete as well as a hand hygiene test.

I don't require their certificates because I can print reports to see who has or hasn't completed the tests in the system.
