Do you have your volunteer chaplains fill out all of the same paperwork as a "regular" volunteer?  Do you have them complete annual training as well?  And if so, do you meet with resistance from them about being asked to do these things?  If you do not have the chaplains filling out the same paperwork, why not?

We do require all our pastoral care volunteers to complete the annual requirements required of all volunteers. It is discussed in their initial interview and onboarding so they know it is a requirement up front, and we haven't met with any resistance so far.

When we had volunteer chaplains, they completed all the same requirements as other volunteers. Within the past three years, we began paying chaplains a stipend and that removed them from their volunteer status. They are all now processed as per-Diem employees.

Our volunteer chaplains complete the regular volunteer paperwork and complete annual trainings like all other adult volunteers. I've never had any push back on this issue. One of our volunteer chaplains refused the required flu vaccine, so she is unable to volunteer during flu season each year.
