    Hello colleagues!

Has anyone heard about US News ranking being impacted by whether or not volunteers are vaccinated for tDap? The question came up today and I'm curious how your hospitals handle tDap for volunteers- is it mandatory, suggested, etc?

    Thank you,

    Allyson

for volunteers in the nursery tdap is required for those under age 65.  This was recommended by the hospital infection control team.

MMR is required for all nursery volunteers as well as a health assessment.

We require the TDAP as we do the other immunization records to become a volunteer.  We do not give the shot, the volunteer must present proof of having one within the past 10 years.
