Goal setting for paid gift shop staff

We have paid cashiers who work evenings and weekends in our gift shop. My new VP has asked me to revise the performance evaluation goals I set previously for these staff members, so I'm seeking ideas from those of you who have gift shops and must review the job performance of cashiers. One goal that I'll continue to track is related to accurately completing transactions and collecting payment. Beyond that, I'm open to suggestions! Thank you!

    Jan,

I am sure that your "cashiers" are also responsible for the overall appearance and security of the shop.  So other items would include making sure that items are attractively displayed, and merchandise is replenished as things are sold, when time allows dusting of shelving (where does that dust come from?) and walking around the shop for risk management.

Just some quick ideas to help your thinking.

    Frank
