Does anyone have any ideas or successful examples of activities for corporate groups? We didn't do much of this even before COVID, except for in-kind donations they could just drop off, but new leadership has heard from a major company and connected them to me. Suggestions welcome!

    Hi Amanda,

We've done a LOT of things with corporate groups. The "owner" goes between me and our Foundation team: if it's a donor relationship, or a prospect, they are the responsible staff member. If not, it goes through me. We've done onsite events (ice cream socials, lunches, cookouts, sports parties - one group just held a watch party for the SEC championship game). We've also had groups assemble treat bags or care packages for staff, patients and families at their office and drop off for us to hand out. It all depends on the company, size of their group, what they want to do, and of course - what is actually helpful for us. They cover all the costs of whatever they do.

Happy to answer any additional questions.

I've wanted to start a corporate partnership for volunteering, so I'll be interested in seeing responses.

Does the company that reached out to your hospital want their employees to come as a group? That would definitely impact the situation. I had a company approach me with this type of request, but we simply did not have a need for assistance with anything that could accommodate the number of employees they wanted to bring.

An idea that I had, if the employees set their own schedule for volunteering, was to utilize them for our hospitality cart - as a "sponsor" so to speak. Wouldn't need to be the same person on the same day/time each week as long as someone from their company was there. Haven't found a company to do this yet. Perhaps a goal for 2023 lol!
