As we see patients from diverse backgrounds and populations with different needs, we have an opportunity to provide our volunteers with a deeper understanding of how to meet people where they are, and the tools to interact with patients in a way that fosters a relationship built on trust, respect and dignity.

In this session, Tiffany will share with her experience in developing and delivering didactic training to volunteers, and the impact these sessions had on her team. More than ever, it’s important for caretakers to understand the unique challenges faced by some individuals in healthcare settings, and for us as leaders, to provide our volunteers with practical strategies for offering inclusive and respectful care.
