Volunteer Leaders
Does anybody have a healing garden at your hospital? If so, who tends to it? Volunteers or other? Thank you!!
We have a couple of "healing gardens". The health system cares for two of them but the most extensive garden is on the grounds of our Hospice Center. Volunteers care for that with great pride. They are mostly Master Gardeners, which is a certification that requires volunteering.
We have Heroes Reflection Gardens which we implemented in 2021. They honor our hospital heroes who passed during COVID and those who continue the fight on the front lines. The gardens are kept up by the grounds team that the hospital contracts with.
