    Hello folks,

I could not find where this topic has been addressed recently, so... I've been asked to look at our coordinator's position and compare the duties and salary against other organizations.  I would greatly appreciate your help in answering the following questions, and would also appreciate any additional comments you would be willing to share:

    1) Do you have a director, or is the coordinator the person primarily responsible for the volunteer program?

    2) If you do not have a director, to whom does the coordinator report?

    3) Does your coordinator supervise any paid staff members?

    4) How many volunteers do you have at your facility?  Do you have multiple campuses?

    5) Is your coordinator an hourly or salaried employee?

    6) Please share a brief description of the coordinator's duties

    7) Please provide an approximate salary

    Thank you for your help,

    Jan

I am the DVS who is responsible for recruitment, training, awarding, development of programs, etc. for all volunteers.  I report to the VP of Market Development.  We keep about 250 volunteers most of the time.  I have a paid Gift Shop manager reporting to me and several coordinators who maintain different groups of volunteers.  Hospice coordinator, Auxiliary coordinaor, etc.  We have a main campus, a smaller bedroom community hospital and several Urgent care locations.
