we do not. we do a background check and if they don't have the proper information to be able to run it.. .we do not allow them to volunteer.
Thank you for your input, I am trying to align with our Human Resources department and that is obviously a requirement.
We do not either. The adults would have to have a background check but the students don't until they turn 18. I know for a fact that several of our students were not citizens. I know last year they were really concerned about being deported. Their families had a plan as to what the children would do if the parents got deported.
It feels like a very sensitive topic to approach our volunteers and ask for verification.
