In a time when we are all being creative in ways volunteers can assist, is anyone else being asked for highigh functioning volunteers to handle confidential data? Within the past two weeks I have been asked for (and provided) very high functiioning volunteers to assist in chart review (A medically retired medical records individual), to enter financial data (An accountant), and even to assist in entering data (university professor).
All have had the requisite training, signed the HIPAA and Confidentiality agreemenst all employees sign. None are taking a position otherwise filled by an employee, all are highly highly competent. I'm now getting some very substantial objection on an if/maybe/you don;t know... basis. How are others handling this? Do your select volunteers have access to more than census? What has your experience been? Any response will be helpful. Thanks!
