Has anyone ever attended the AHVRP conferences? If so, did you find the speakers to  be beneficial, and the conference worth attending? There is a conference in October of this year, and I have never attended. Thanks for any input. Charlene Marx, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, Pelham Medical Center.

Charlene come to Atlanta! I haven't been but two of my peers went last year. They both said it was productive and helpful, and being in a larger group than at our state conference just means more people sharing good ideas. Hope to see you here in the fall.

I have attended both the AHVRP conferences and SHVL.  (Southeastern)  They are both well thought out, informational and worth the registration.  The location might make a difference with costs.  Since AHVRP is going to be close, Atlanta, I would suggest giving it a try.

Final decision should be made once the speakers are chosen, usually posted in May.

Has been a great conference the years I have attended.  For you VA volunteer professionals, they usually have a special track of programs geared strictly toward you.

Also usually some specific programs for Children's Hospitals as well.

I would highly recommend that you attend.  I always bring back great ideas and new volunteer programs to implement, but also the opportunity to network with other DVS professionals is priceless!
