Badge Swipe at Fund Raisers

    Hello,

    I would like to hear from any of you who are using badge swipe in order to process payroll deduction at your offsite fundraising sales. We are looking to move from the age-old method of asking employees to sign paper wage assignment forms to utilizing badge swipe with the CounterPoint POS system we use in our gift shop. One concern is the possible loss of the few volunteers who are faithful to help at these events due to their angst over using a laptop. I would appreciate knowing how you addressed this and other challenges you may have encountered when implementing a similar process. Thank you!

    We have used the badge swipe system for many years.  We have a small touch screen computer that allows the volunteers to touch the screen which is easier than using a mouse for some of them.  the system is quite simple and no one, once trained, has had any difficulty.  I always ask for volunteers and as new people come on board, offer this as a possibility to help too.
