I want to publically thank my in state colleagues for the service you provided during our day of destruction.  Several of the hospitals in the state of Alabama received tornado damage and continued to function.  The rest of us went to our disaster plans and received patients from all over the state.

I have heard stories already about services provided by volunteers and volunteer professionals, and I am sure there are more to tell.

Many of our state volunteer professionals suffered damage to homes, cars and everything else.  We know Alabama was not alone in this disaster, I will keep all of our southern states in my thoughts and prayers and ask that you do the same.
