Our Auxiliary is a separate 501(c)3 organization. It is spelled out in their Policies & Procedures that they will pay for the President & President-elect, or special designee if one of these cannot attend. They also send state auxiliary board members when we have someone on the state board. I support your decision to send your Pres & Pres-elect. Since your hospital is paying and has limited you to 2 volunteers, I think you should send the people you feel will bring the most benefit back to your program/organization. I would hope the state board members who attend would share info pertinent to their role as state leaders with the others from their board who cannot attend.
