    We are attempting to consolidate an amazing number of stand-alone retail POS systems here.  I'm coming to all yu experts to find out:

    1.  What POS system do you use?

    2.  Why did you choose it?

    3.  How long have you had the system?

    4.  How many different areas use the software, and what problems have there been with that.

    I'm particularly interested in the MM Hays product.  It seems best for three of the locations we have.  Do you use it?  Have you moved away from it to something else? (Why?)  What are its best and worst features for the Gift Shop.

    Hello All,

     

    I will consider myself a newby in the world of gift shops so I have a couple of questions:

     

    • 1.        POS system and payroll deduction – our gift shop has a poor POS system.  We want to upgrade and we want to have payroll deduction.  I hope that is not too broad of a question, but do you have suggestions?
    • 2.       Do you market your gift shop outside of the hospital?  Are you aware of any issues with doing so?

    We use Counterpoint.  It is very user friendly and customer support is great.
